This term Class one has been looking after some elvers (baby eels). We have been feeding them, keeping their tank clean and observing them every day so that they grow bigger and have more chance of surviving in the wild. We have learned a great deal about their life cycle, their habitat and what they eat. Sadly we needed to release them back into their natural habitat. So on Wednesday 25th May the whole school walked down to the river in Luckington to let them go! We hope they like their new home and we may get the chance to see them again in the river as they get bigger! Thank you to Harriet Alvis and everyone at the Bristol Avon River Trust for giving us this unique opportunity.
