River Dipping

Class 1 had a fantastic time river dipping in the brook in Luckington.  Harriet showed us how to catch things in our net and empty them into a white tray so we could observe them.  We then identified them on a chart.  We found a leech, a tadpole, lots of freshwater shrimps, may fly larvae, caddis cases and a big bull head fish which made Veronica jump!  We decided that the river must be very clean for so many living things to use it as a habitat!
