On Tuesday 24th March Class 1 went on a trip to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. The main purpose of our trip was to do some pond dipping to find out which kinds of mini beasts live in water. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and found some snails, a leech, sludge worms, water boatmen and may fly larvae. It was interesting seeing them under a microscope and learning about how they move, breathe and what they eat. We also fed the ducks, swans and geese. We saw the otters, harvest mice and water voles. We also enjoyed playing in welly boot land and the park!
