Our Values
It is our aim to guide our children towards being happy and productive members of their local, national, global and online communities when they grow up. Skills and knowledge are a very important part of this, but are underpinned by having a set of strong values on which they can make positive decisions about their lives.
We consulted with our community on which 'values' we see as the most important. Our values are intrinsically linked to the British Values:
- democracy
- the rule of law
- individual liberty
- mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs, and for those without faith
Our values are:
- Respect
- Reflection
- Resilience
- Honesty
- Positivity
- Compassion
- Forgiveness
Each week we have assemblies on our school values and our British Values. We also have singing assembly and a celebration assembly, which we call 'Stars assembly' to which parents are invited too.
