We feel that is vital to ensure that all children have the key knowledge and skills in a language other than English. A second (or third, or fourth!) language is an amazing skill to have and can open up a great deal of further opportunities.

French is a language that we know the children can take on and develop when they move to secondary school; giving them the basis to branch out to more languages should they wish. We teach it once a week in Class 2. In Class 1, the children regularly practise common French words and phrases and also have the opportunity to take part in an after school French club.
