  • #LotsofSocks

    Tue 15 Mar 2022

Every year we mark World Down Syndrome Day (Monday 21st March) by taking part in the #LotsofSocks campaign. The campaign exists to raise awareness of Down Syndrome.

On TUESDAY 22nd March, the children will take part in a World Down Syndrome Day assembly. All the children need to do for the day is choose some socks that are going to get noticed - they might be mismatched socks or their craziest and most colourful socks, whatever takes their fancy!

  • Victorian Day - January 25th 2022

Mon 17 Jan 2022 Mr Cook

On Tuesday 25th January we are going to have a Victorians theme day in school. This is part of our whole school topic on The Victorians.

The children will spend a large part of the day with a Victorian school teacher, so we would love it if they could dress up as Victorian children to help enhance their experience!

Please do not feel the need to go out and buy any costumes or new clothes for this and if you struggle to find something appropriate, please just let us know and we’ll see if we can help.

We have also booked a whole school trip to the SS Great Britain on 10th March - more details will follow soon.

  • Year 5/6 Football Success

Mon 17 Jan 2022 Mr Cook

On Thursday last week our football team played in the Wiltshire Small Schools' finals. Back in 2021 they finished second in our local cluster tournament so were invited to the Wiltshire final, with a chance of making the South West final later in the year.

The boys did not lose a single game and only conceded one goal in seven games. They finished second, by ONE GOAL, meaning they lost out on a place in the South West final.

Each boy represented the school and themselves brilliantly - we are so proud of their resilience, team work and positivity. Well done lads!
