Chair of Governors: Katherine Fisher
Appointed by Governing body, Elected 21/11/17, Term of Office 20/11/25
My family and I moved to Luckington several years ago from Bristol and quickly realised what a special place, both the village and its school were. We value the fact that our four children are able to go to our local school. I became a governor in order to try to support something which is such an important local amenity. I have a background in secondary education as an English teacher and also coach netball at Luckington. We, as a family, are also involved in several local sports clubs including football and hockey .
Elected governor 23/1/18, Term of Office 22/1/26
I teach in class one and I feel privileged to work in such an amazing school. I am looking forward to supporting the governors and headteacher in the running of the school. I have two teenage sons and when I'm not at work I am usually on the side of a football pitch watching them play and referee matches. I also enjoy gardening, walking and reading in my spare time.

SEN Governor
We moved to Luckington 7 years ago and our daughter now goes to the very special school that is Luckington primary school.
I’ve grown up with a sister with severe learning difficulties and as such feel I have a deep understanding of what it means to have SEN as a family. Being able to support the school in such an important and unique aspect is privilege.
Parent Governor: Sara Rodwell
Appointed by Governing body, Elected 01/03/23, Term of Office 28/02/27
My family and I are relatively new to the village, we moved to Luckington in May 2022 from Tetbury and my daughter joined from Reception in September 2022. We soon felt very much at home within the village community, it is a very special place.
I’m very proud to be involved with our school as a Parent Governor and I am passionate to enhance the learning experiences for our children whilst supporting our staff in this dynamic and nurturing environment.
Local Authority Appointed Governor: Julie-Anne Mulcahy
Appointed by Governing body, Elected 01/10/23, Term of Office 30/09/27
My family and I moved to Luckington 18 months ago. I am keen to contribute to our wonderful village community and to support the life of the school, which is doing a very important job in nurturing the next generation. I recently retired, having spent 40 years working in the NHS, my last role was as Director of Corporate Affairs. I have a background in governance and I hope to bring my enthusiasm and experience to the Governing Body of the school.
Community Governor Kara Ardus
Appointed by Governing body, Elected 26/01/21, Term of Office 26/01/25
My family and I have lived in Luckington for 15 years and my three children attended the School. I am a qualified lawyer with a background in corporate employment law. The school is at the heart of our village community and one of the reasons why Luckington is a very special place to live and grow up in. I am keen to support the great work of the school and the learning opportunities for all young children in the local community.
Elected governor: 26/05/2020, Term of Office: 26/05/2024
We moved to Luckington 3 years ago and our son joined the school in Year 3. We have been incredibly impressed from the outset with the school not only in terms of the quality of education and pastoral care provided, but the strong sense of community and inclusivity we have experienced. I became a Governor to help ensure this amazing place continues to be the heart of the community for a long time to come. As the owner and Managing Director of a Marketing Agency I hope to be able to bring my business and marketing experience to the Governing body.
