P.E.

"Physically educated persons are those who have learned to arrange their lives in such a way that the habitual physical activities they freely engage in make a distinctive contribution to their wider flourishing."

James MacAllister

P.E. is a key part of our curriculum at Luckington. Through it we aim to ensure that all children see exercise as a vital, every-day part of their lives, for good physical and mental health.

Each class receives at least two hours of high quality P.E. a week. Our staff continually update their professional development alongside experts from outside our school to ensure that our provision is the best it can be. Where we can, we enrich our P.E. curriculum by working with other organisations such as Bath Rugby and Chance to Shine Cricket.

In addition to this provision, we offer a great deal of enrichment through after school clubs and inter-school competitions. We believe so strongly in the importance of sport that we take up every opportunity we can and as a result, the children have a great deal more opportunities than they would in many other schools.
