• EYFS Phonic Meeting

  Mrs Newman talked our new EYFS parents through our phonic scheme, Unlocking Letters and Sounds.  She explained what their children have been learning and the importance of saying a 'pure' sound.

  

• Swiss Students Arrive

  We welcomed Miss David and Mr Beck to our school today.  They will be staying for three weeks.  They are training to be teachers in Switzerland and are very much looking forward to learning about the English education system and joining in with lots of Luckington lessons.

• Mastering Number meeting for parents

  Mrs Newman led two workshops for parents of children in EYFS and Year 1 to explain the mastering number home learning.  The children and the parents enjoyed making their resources and learning how to use them.

  

• Badminton Estate Countryside Day

  Class Two visited Badminton Estate.  They listened to talks relating to life on the Estate woodlands, on the farm and the House and Gardens.

  

• Coronation Celebrations!

  At Luckington, we decorated our very own Coronation mugs and managed to dodge the showers to hold a mini street party.

  

• Music Ensemble

  We had a visit from a music ensemble.  They showed us the instruments that they play and we listened to several pieces of music that they performed for us.
